Saturated Geometry: The lower-left quarter is heavily weighted by the blocky, sculptural masses of Manhattan's iconic yellow cabs. Frank uses thick, pure cadmium yellow, applied with kinetic abandon, using dense black impasto for the wheels to anchor the vehicles directly into New York’s fractured road surface.

Crystalline Structure: The towering central elevation is rendered as a complex matrix of interlocking vertical and horizontal palette knife marks. Slabs of pale ice-blue, charcoal, and titanium white are shattered by sharp flecks of pale ochre glaze that catch the directional light of the room, turning the canvas into a tactile, shifting architectural elevation.

Monochromatic Recession: To the right, the composition breaks into a steep street perspective populated by a blocky white utility truck and abstract figures. The eye is driven toward the right horizon where a pale, high-relief spire cuts through a fractured blue-grey sky, balancing the massive structural weight of the left-hand facades.
